Beautygloss remake!

Hi there!
My fellow Dutchies may know BeautyGloss, which is a Dutch beautyblog. A while ago, Mascha, the website's owner, got her nails done by Maybelline.

I decided I'd try to make them myself, on my own nails :D! I didn't use the Maybelline colours, but just a few other ones I found in my stash. The green, pink, and blue (pinky finger) are from Miss Sporty, the green/blue on the ring finger is Miss Minty from Gosh, the black is from Jessica, the white from Essie, and the pink on my thumb from some unknown brand I found (bottle without sticker or anything xD). I mostly used a thin brush, like the lady from Maybelline.

Is it me, or isn't it too bad?

Here's a picture of my matte new-formula Catrice nails!

It's I'm Dynamite (the glitter) over Petrolpolitan (the green one). I used Gosh' matte top coat to make it matte. I must say... I like it. I've heard loads of comments and complaints about the formula and/or brush, but I'm not unsatisfied with it. Maybe it's because Petrolpolitan is the 'best' one from the reviews I've read, but still.

The only thing that could've been better is the amount of glitters that comes off the I'm Dynamite's brush. I had to go over my nails several times before getting enough on them.

Well. This one fits nicely on the shelf filled with Catrice (and Miss Sporty) polishes. :)

What's your opinion? Do you like the new Catrice polishes?

Bye!

The Easter Bunny's nails and make-up!

Almost every year, for the last ten years, I've been playing the Easter Bunny on Easter. Just to give the people in and around my parents' restaurant a little joy (and chocolate) :D! Of course I try to bring some colour in my outfit, because otherwise everything is brown. And that's boring.

Sometimes I wear a colourful scarf, or something like that. This year I painted my nails as seen in the picture above, wore one red and one purple All Star, and wore two different coloured fingerless gloves.

I'm going vintage.

I've always wanted to try those cute, vintage flower manicures. So I did. I used my BornPrettyStore brushes and slapped on some red and white polish, making flowers on my pink base colour.

I just pretty much tried it without actually following a tutorial, and I think it looks pretty decent, right? The white lines are made with my liner brush. :)

You can't see it very well, but if you look at my pinky finger, you'll see I added a matte top coat, to make the manicure look a bit softer.

I hope you liked it!

Bye!

At least it isn't Easter yet.

Here's my very, very late Christmas nail.
It's a very simple one, with two cute Christmas trees on it. I made them using my brushes from BornPrettyStore! :)

Love,
Arti

Some old ones...

So here's what I did when I didn't have a blog... I just made pictures of my nails and posted them on twitter/facebook. They weren't the best quality (except the green one), so I didn't want to write individual blog posts about them. I wanted to show them anyway, so here they are!

I'll look for some more older pictures like these, and then I'll post them as well :).

Enjoy your week! Bye!

Multicolour stamping.

This stamping method is quite fun, because your stamp looks a bit like a gradient, but it's a lot easier! And the result looks quite nice, too :)!

Striped water marble

This time I made a striped water marble design! Unfortunately my pinky didn't turn out that good, but I really like the rest of my fingers. :D

"That one technique"

I had to make a title for this blogpost, but I can't remember the right name for this kind of design... and I googled/youtubed all over the place :').

My first tape mani :)

Hi guys!

This time I made a tape manicure, which is really easy to make. All you need is nail polish, a pair of scissors, and tape!

First, you apply your base coat and base colour. Let them dry really good. Then, tape some parts of your nail. This is the reason your polish has to be really dry - you wouldn't want the wet polish to stick to your tape. Then polish over your tape with your second colour, and remove the tape directly while the polish is still wet.

Finish off with a top coat and you're done!

Hope you liked it :)! Bye!

Fluorescent Halloween nails!

Hi there! We don't celebrate Halloween in the Netherlands, but I've seen lots of bloggers who started to make Halloween creations, so I thought I'd join them :)!  On one nail, I made spider webs and on the other the actual spiders.

No cracks...

Originally I wanted to make happy coloured nails with a black crackle nail polish on top. It took me a while to get to the manicure shown above... Here's what happened! :)

The Avengers

A few days ago my boyfriend and I were watching The Avengers. Then it hit me. I had to make Avenger nails!

A bit of green

Yes, here's an other Essie nail polish.. it's 99 - Mint Candy. It's as creamy and opaque as the previous polishes, and I love it just as much :)!

Everyday I'm marblin'

Except not really. I'm just quite bad at it. I decided to give it an other try, and it happened. My water marble creation looked decent! I FINALLY DID IT :).

Yellow or green?

I still don't know if this is a yellow or green polish. I have to admit, it looks green in the picture, but now I'm wearing it and it looks pretty yellow to me...

Essence's crackle

(I'm sorry about the pictures, I took them with my phone...)

Here's a quick post about Essence's black crackle nail polish! This is because I read on a forum that people didn't like it, because it was too thick or to sticky. You also have a dark metallic blue, and apparently a white one too (although I've only seen -and own- the blue one.)

I used a metallic green (which has quite a bit of yellow in it) as the base colour. I think it was a Gosh polish, but it could've been a Catrice. I haven't got the bottle near me, but I'll update if I know!

note: you have to use a base coat with these kind of colours, since you wouldn't want yellow or green nails!

I applied one thin coat of the black crackle, and a Rimmell top coat. This is the result. :)

What do you think about crackle nail polish?
